hooo boy i haven’t posted on here in an age
i think i’ve said this before but i am way more active on twitter. i DO still look at tumblr pretty regularly i’m just not big on putting personal stuff here anymore
BUT i wanted to put a quick update here to say that in a week, @prawnlegs & @sadish-radish & i are moving to the farm in western MA that we bought from another queer family & are planning to continue as a small-scale, sustainable, permaculture & native plant focused space producing organic veggies, fruits, herbs, eggs, fibers (wool) & maybe eventually honey. once our social media presence (as Crooked Moon Farm) is up & running i’ll post links here so y’all can go see it.
if you’re wondering HOW this happened (we would be), it’s a combination of luck (in finding it) & sad circumstances (3 family members passed away in 2016-2017) leading to there being some money we could invest in this. our living family has also been extremely generous in helping us get to this place. we plan on paying all of this forward & maintaining this land as a haven & way to feed/shelter loved ones who need it, especially in the queer & trans communities.
it’s a huge step & we’re terrified but also feel like we have something major to live & fight for. so!!! that’s where i’m at. there’s a million other things (there always are) but that’s the big one. if you wanna chat to me about farming (dreams or experience) my inbox/messenger is always open <3
